The Kaghan Memorial Trust is currently in the process of recruiting new teachers to join the teaching team in February 2010 with a commitment to work with us until February 2011. The responsibilities of the teachers that we recruit include:
Planning, preparing and delivering lessons;
Assessing, recording and reporting on the development and progress of the students;
Maintaining records of class activities for the reference of future teachers;
Working in consultation with the rest of the teaching team and the KMT Managing Trustee to develop, update and improve the curriculum and teaching model for your School;
Managing and maintaining supplies required for your classroom;
Preparing articles and reports about the School/students to be sent to donors and child sponsors;
Arranging extra-curricular events for the school and students;
Any other Trust or School-related assignments that may be handed out from time to time.
Applicants will need to have a college degree and experience teaching children and/or teaching English as a second language. Fluency in Urdu is not a necessity as our teachers are supported in their classrooms by local teaching assistants who act as interpreters when required.
