The Kaghan Memorial Trust (KMT) is a non profit organization registered in Islamabad, Pakistan, on January 3, 2006. The trust was conceptualized in the wake of the October 8 earthquakes that caused extensive damage across a large area of northern Pakistan. Established with the immediate objective of building and operating a non-profit school in the earthquake affected town of Balakot, the Kaghan Memorial Trust is based on a charter that visualizes expansion of the trust’s activities in future years to encompass additional projects relating to the proliferation of education and vocational training in under-developed regions of the country.
